The SIA recently announced that the licence-linked qualifications will change to include a new modular structure by 1st June 2010, any Door Supervisor requiring licence renewal after this date will have to retrain and obtain a new set of basic job skills to enable them to apply for licensing, the new training package is to include Physical Intervention, First Aid and more, as an NOCN accredited training centre 1st Choice Training Ltd is able to supply this new level of training.

This course is for: All staff that work, or want to work as a Door Supervisor or Events Steward.

Aim: To provide the student with awareness of security issues to meet an increasing demand for well trained operatives in the security sector. It is an approved course for an SIA licence.

Duration: 30 Hours of delivered learning.

Training Programme: Training is delivered in two parts as follows:

• Part One: The Role and Responsibilities of Door Supervisors.
• Part Two: Communication Skills and Conflict Management.

Assessments: The assessment will be in the form of two multiple choice examinations.

Certification: On successful completion of the course and assessment a NOCN level 2 qualification will be awarded.

Costs: £240 per person for an open access course.
£2400 per course for Corporate clients, max 12 students.

Who the Course is for: Level 2 Award in CCTV is suitable all people that work, or want to work as a CCTV control room operator.

Aim: The purpose of this level 2 course is to provide awareness of security issues to meet an increasing demand for more well-trained control room operatives in the security sector. It is an approved course for an SIA licence.

Part 1: Role & Responsibilities
• Codes of Practice
• CCTV Equipment
• Control room Communications
• CCTV Surveillance Techniques
• Emergency procedures
  Part 2: Practical Based Training
• CCTV Equipment & its operation
• Control room Communications

Assessment: There will be a short evaluation at the beginning of the first day to asses your understanding of the English language, this forms part of the SIA guidelines and must be taken before you are accepted onto the course.
The Qualification for CCTV (PSS) assessment will be in the form of one multiple choice examination and a practical skills assessment in a CCTV control room.

Qualification Gained: On successful completion of the course and assessment a Level 2 Award in CCTV (PSS) will be awarded.
